Griffin Hall was founded in 2010 as a college for non-residential students at the Australian National University. The hall is the first of its kind in Australia.
The hall is made up of 300 students, all who now have access to social, cultural and sporting events that often non-residential students would miss out on.
There are 6 'virtual floors' to which up to 50 students are allocated to. Each floor has a Community Assistant whom is a point of communication for students of the hall, in regard to pastoral care, social, and academic care.
The common room for students is located in the Haydon Allen Building on the ANU Campus.
The current and founding president of the hall is Sebastien Willis.
